Fundraising

Given today's economy, every organization needs to concentrate its efforts on diversifying its income. A healthy revenue stream includes much more than just grants. In addition to seeking private, state and federal funding, nonprofits should consider planned giving campaigns, earned income strategies, and above all, cultivate individual donors.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) exists to foster the development and growth of fundraising professionals, promote high ethical behavior of the fundraising profession and to preserve and enhance philanthropy and volunteerism.

The Central Texas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals

The Central Texas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the local affiliate serving the greater Waco, Temple, and Killeen areas. AFP programs include education on planned giving, ethics, and a certification available for fundraising professionals called the CFRE, as required by the national office. As Fundraisers on the front line with the public, AFP would be able to provide insight into the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that fundraisers and nonprofits experience in Waco, McLennan County, and Central Texas. Membership is not required for attendance. Click here for more information about local meetings.
